My Xtracycle is coming today and I have decided to build it myself. I know there are many who have gone before me…
…but I don’t even have the thing to remove my chain yet… nor do I know it’s proper name. I don’t care – I can follow directions and I can call out “hun! can you come here a sec?” I’m off to the bike shop for the chain puller aparter…

Know that the folks at Xtracycle will tell you stuff, too, because they’ve talked lots of people through figuring out “oh, *that* model bike!” kinds of things.
Blog it as you go – then if/when it gets frustrating, at least you can share the pain and have a little fun
When I changed the tyre on my Gazelle (which was a sort of almost slightly complicated procedure because the thing has dynamo connections and assorted things beyond Quick Release) that made it a dramatic exercise, not a chore…
